PRODUCT FAQs

Q: If my cat is currently getting Omega-3s in his or her food, should I still supplement Omega Benefits®?
A: As with many human foods, cat food companies will often add a nominal amount of Omega-3s into your cat’s diet, often in other forms than the active EPA and DHA. Your veterinarian recommended Feline Omega Benefits for your cat because they do not believe he or she is getting a sufficient amount of EPA and DHA from his or her diet.

Q: How long does it take to see results in my cat?
A: Depending on how Omega-3 depleted your cat is, you may start to see results in as little as 1 or 2 weeks. On average it may take 6 to 12 weeks to see the full effects of the product.

Q: What is the shelf life of Omega Benefits?
A: The shelf life is 2 years for unopened bottles. Once opened, Omega Benefits needs to be refrigerated. The shelf life of opened, refrigerated bottles is 6-7 months.

Q: Are there any side effects my cat may experience?
A: Omega-3 fatty acids are a very safe and effective treatment for your pets. Cats with known gastrointestinal or pancreatic issues, should be titrated up to the recommended dose. Cats that have never consumed omega-3 fatty acids may lack the pancreatic enzyme that breaks down Omega-3 fatty acids and may be sensitive to an increase in this dietary fat. As a result, some may experience loose stool or diarrhea for the first week or two.
