Transitioning:
Your veterinarian recommended Transparent Nutrition® as the nutritional component of your pet’s therapy. It can take 3-5 days for your pet’s appetite to acclimate to any new diet, that’s why it’s important to keep trying even if they resist at first. You can make the transition easier by following the transition guide on the back of your bag of food.
Q: How long will it take to start seeing improvements in my pet?
A: The clinical response varies from patient to patient based on why your veterinarian is recommending Transparent Nutrition®. General response to nutritional therapy, a critical aspect of to your pet’s well being and treatment plan, can take up to 1-2 months. Transparent Nutrition diets are formulated to be used for long term support. For more specific information, speak with your veterinarian and follow their veterinarian’s recheck schedule to monitor your pet’s progress.
Q: Should I store Transparent Nutrition® in the bag it came in?
A: Yes! If you have already poured your starter food into another container, don’t worry. Moving forward, it’s important to keep your future home delivered food in the bags they arrive in. During open storage of pet foods (in plastic containers for example), fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids rapidly deteriorate. The bag material used to protect our pet food is just as important as the ingredients themselves. We’ve incorporated the latest technology into our bags to protect nutrients and make storing our food simple and convenient.

Q: What is the shelf-life?
A: Shelf life of a sealed bag of Transparent Nutrition® is 15 months from the date of manufacture.
